How long should my hair be to get braids or another braiding hairstyle?
Braiding hairstyles offer various possibilities to add more length and volume to your hairstyle. However, your hair should be at least chin-length (about 15cm) or longer. This will make sure that braiding your hair will succeed perfectly, and that your new hairstyle will withstand the challenges of everyday life without anything going loose.

How long does it take to have my hair braided?
The time it takes to finish your braiding hairstyle depends on how lavish your desired hairstyle should be. If you only want to get to nice, chunky Dutch braids, we will be done in about an hour. For beautiful long and thinly plaited braids, you will have to expect about 6 to 7 hours of plaiting time. Of course we can take small breaks occasionally so you can stretch your legs a bit!
How should I wash and maintain my braids?
Like any hairstyle, of course braided hair needs regular cleansing and care. You should carefully wash your braids 1-2 times a week with your favourite shampoo. Then you can wrap them in a towel and let them dry. There is a range of special hair care products made particularly for braided hair. We will be happy to advise you about which product is best suited for your hairstyle.
How long can I keep my braids?
Several factors determine how long your braiding hairstyle will last: What particular hairstyle do you have, how often do you wash it, and how much strain is being put on your hair in your everyday life?
Generally, you should take your braids and other braiding hairstyles down after no more than 6 to 8 weeks. If you have questions about how to remove your braids, you are welcome to ask us!
